Community Project - Giving Kids a Future

Rick and Wendy have assisted the local community right from the start, with 10% of all profit from Seachange Lodge, going to help these beautiful people. Vanuatu was voted the Happiest Country on Earth in 2006. Located in the South Pacific, voted the Dream Holiday Destination by Sweden in 2008. But there is a problem in paradise.

Education in Vanuatu is not free:

  • Only 55.8% of children get to year 6
  • Only 18.2% go to High School
  • 26% Never go to school at all.

These horrifying statistics have not changed since the survey in 1999.

Children in developed countries enjoy the privilege of free, high quality education. Sadly, there are high achieving students in Vanuatu, a Lesser Developed Country, who will never have the opportunity to go to high school. Through YouMe Support Foundation you can make a difference. You can give these kids a chance to get an education, by booking at Seachange Lodge. Kids who have no future, no way of fulfilling their dreams. Kids who are desperate to go to high school.

Fill up yany extra space in your luggage and bring in anything that can be used in a classroom. Rick and Wendy absolutely guarantee this will be sent to schools that are desperate for resources of any kind. It is the best investment you will ever make.

Outer Island Community Needs Help

These are students from the village in the far north of Vanuatu which Rick and Wendy have been assisting since 2004.

These young girls desperately need help to continue their education at high school.

Rick and Wendy wanted to find a way to continue to assist these beautiful people of the tropical islands of Vanuatu. That's when they came up with the idea of forming You Me Support Foundation and Child Trust Fund.

First Student In the YouMe Support Foundation Program

The first student entered the program as was reported in the Independent newspaper.

Though she was the top of her class, only brother would get a high school education. Her older sister sits at home with no education, no qualifications and no prospect of a job. You can help others like her to fulfill their dreams.

Other high achieving students from the Outer Islands are anxiously waiting to be chosen to receive a non-repayable high school education grant. They have no future without your help. You can't change the world, but you can change the world of one needy kid. Help them Discover What Really Matters.
