About Rick and Wendy

Rick and Wendy were teaching English in Ho ng Kong as a second language. It was time to retire. They had a good look around and chose to move to the tropical islands of Vanuatu, (New Hebredes) in the far North West corner of the South Pacific. (Rick had workded for Qantas for 25 years and was happy to settle on a quiet tropical island.)

However, instead of retiring, Rick and Wendy spent two years turning a private property into a successful and unique boutique holiday resort, Seachange Lodge. A real Home Away From Home with lots of special ambience, set in absolute waterfront, lush tropical gardens, with fantastic views of Erakor lagoon. Absolute top value for your money.

Outer Island Community Needs Help

Rick and Wendy have always assisted the local community in any way possible.

When you book at Seachange Lodge you will be helping some really great kids. You can get to meet some of them when you come to Vanautu.

Education Grants

We are happy to announce our first student recieved a grant in January 2009. Maimona was top of her class but had no way of going to high school. Her only brother gets what money is available for education, while her oldest sister remains at home, with no education, no qualifications and no prospect of a job.

Maimona's smile was worth a million dollars when she was told she would be getting the opportunity to fulfill her dreams and continue her education. We are thrilled to report that Maimona is a keen student and continues to go from strength to strength in her studies.
